My OB put me officially on partial bed rest during my 24th week prenatal visit two weeks ago. That means I could only be up to take a shower, fix myself a simple meal, eat, and go to the restroom. I should be lying on my side most of the time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Nothing really serious but that is to prevent any complications I might have in my pregnancy especially preterm labor. We wanted the baby to stay inside me as long as possible, 34 weeks at least. I admit is it challenging both for me and Carl. I am now at 25 weeks and 5 days, that means we still have 8 weeks and 2 days to go.

Other than the boredom from not being able to do many things,I feel pretty good. I am so glad that my morning sickness is over (until 17 weeks) and that I can drink water and eat food other than crackers again. I definitely look pregnant now, my belly is getting bigger and I feel a lot heavier. I have been feeling our babies' punches and kicks, especially late at night and early in the morning now. It is  very comforting to feel their movements and I always love seeing them during ultrasounds. These ultrasound pictures were taken at 24 weeks.

Me at 22 weeks and 5 days

So sorry you have to be on bed rest. That stinks. Hope you have good movies...and maybe a book of sudoku puzzles!
