Having my Mom around is such a big relief for me and Carl. She flew from the Philippines on June 8th and will be staying with us until a little after our girls are born. I am really happy that she is here. Her company makes bed rest so much more bearable. It feels so good having somebody to talk to every day and help me especially now that I am incapable of doing many things.

It is fun to bond with my Mom this way. We went swimming the other day, well, I did not really swim but felt really good soaking in the water. We did some sewing together as well and a lot of talking. I especially enjoy the Filipino food that she cooks for me. It made eating and gaining weight easier though I still throw up occasionally. I used to love seafood and it was a little sad to say goodbye to it for now since just the thought of it make me feel sick in the stomach. Meat and vegetables are as well a challenge. I like sweets but have to take easy on them. Restless and sleepless nights, difficulty breathing, achy back and others are unwelcome company. Oh yes, it is definitely challenging but feeling our babies movements and seeing them during ultrasounds is absolutely worth a trade.
With my Mom

How nice that she can be there for you! And fun that you get to go swimming or floating or what not. Hang in there! It really is worth it, as I'm sure you know.
