Carnivals are fun, especially to three-year-olds. We had been to a carnival before when they were really young, and we were right to think that they would definitely enjoy a carnival visit more now that they are a bit older.

Mikelle and Rianne got really excited when they saw the rides from afar.
Merry-go-round was the first thing they rode on and it was a hit!
I am not a fan of carnival rides but took courage to ride the Ferris wheel. I was disappointed though because it only went twice on a very very low speed. Both M and R were a little scared but they definitely were brave enough to sit with me and look down.

We went early so there were not a lot of people at the carnival. The girls tried this ride and the operator was a bit too nice to have them there for such a long time that Carl had to tell him that the girls were probably done.
The "Going Bananas" obstacle course / fun house (above) was a hit, though they had to make three attempts at it due to two potty trips. They spent a lot of time playing in the fun house with dad. I wondered for a while what had happened since there were a few groups that had been through the house several times and I still hadn't seen my family come out.
This part was a little difficult for little kids so dad had to hold them while they try to walk in it while the tube turns.
I am personally not a fan of roller coasters but apparently my girls are. Mikelle definitely enjoyed the ride.

Rianne couldn't wait to have her turn and she was so happy when she finally did.
Talia was happy and content in her stroller.

Mikelle wanted to ride the one like this but of course we didn't let her. I am just glad that I don't have to worry about who will go with her for now, at least.

On October 18th, my girls took part on a simple and beautiful wedding ceremony of my good friend Raquel to her fiance Jeff. Raquel had asked if they could be their ring bearers. I was hesitant because my girls are a little shy around other people and I wasn't sure if they will be willing to do it. I said yes and hoped that with practice and preparation and maybe with little bribe of a treat, they would walk to give the couples their rings during the ceremony.

I had fun making the girls' dresses to match Raquel's wedding color, yellow. They had so much fun wearing it and pretending to be princesses days prior to the wedding. Mikelle would even climb on the couch to sing and dance "like a princess", as she calls it.

It was a beautiful sunset wedding by the beach and I have to say that Mikelle and Rianne did very well as ring bearers. Making them smile for the pictures was a challenge but they were cooperative and patient during picture taking nevertheless. I had to explain to them a number of times what they are supposed to do and what they can expect and they had fun practicing it at home. They did what they were supposed to do during the wedding and was happy when they finally got their treat, a lollipop (I know it's not the best way but it did the trick!).

We have been looking forward to go trick or treating this year. Mikelle and Rianne have been talking about it for a long time. They were more involved and excited to dress up for the event than last year but deciding what to be was not easy both for them and me. They wanted to be princesses at one point, then R said she wanted to be a bread, M a cow and many others. But when I suggested it, they immediately liked the idea of being lambs, with Mom as Mary, just like in the song that they love.

 Trick or Treat!

  Mikelle enjoyed her slide!
Rianne was not very sure about this.
 I love their tails
 I love these two!
Putting this up here will make my husband happy
I just need to include this cute picture of my baby

We started our Halloween early by making worm cupcakes
M and R had so much fun making the worm cupcakes in the morning.
 M enjoying her treat.
Dad came home and tried on his big bad wolf costume.

Rianne was all happy and excited
Mary had three little lambs. And everywhere that Mary went, the lambs were sure to go.
We went out trick or treating around the neighborhood at around 6:30p.m. but it seemed like we were the only ones out. Most of the houses had their lights off  and so we decided to go to the mall instead. We thought that the bloody sky was awesome and prefect for a Halloween night
 Trick or treat!
I think that the compliments the girls got from people were the real treat that night.
Lamb (R) having her crocodile treat.
 M enjoyed her helicopter ride.

We went home with tired lambs and a quarter bag of candies that night. It was a long day but it was definitely worth remembering. And if you were wondering, the lambs did not get eaten by the big bad wolf that night. We actually had a really nice wolf with us.
